Poker's about the fundamentals too. Glad to know it!
Seriously, it's a great article, and you should run over there to read it right away.

I was playing at the $3/$6 holdem tables at the Stardust in Vegas this last weekend. I was there for the Casino Affiliate Convention. And at one point, I looked at my hole cards, and I said, "Carpe diem". Then I raised.
The dealer shoots me a dirty look and says, "English only at the table, sir!"
So sheepishly, I apologize to everyone at the table, and explain, "I'm sorry everyone. 'Carpe diem' is Latin for 'seize the day.'"
At which point the dealer shoots me an even dirtier look and says, "I KNOW what it means sir, but you could be signaling someone in code."
As if I couldn't possibly signal someone by saying, "Seize the day".
An acquaintance of mine who's a pro player told me that he would have told the dealer to go f- himself, and then he'd have called security and asked them to throw the dealer out of the cardroom. Of course, since I'm not a pro player, I don't think I could have pulled that move off, even if I'd wanted to.
Because I'm a gentle soul by nature anyway.
